Oh yeah, it’s this time of month again, and with all these pains that I am having, I know that my time is coming. I guess now that I am getting close to may menopausal age, my pre-mentrual symptoms changes. I used to not have so much pain but only cramps, hips and tenderness to my breasts. Now, I get headache, get dizzy, hot flushes, pelvic pain, cramps, and breast tenderness. No wonder women who has all these symptoms are grumpy:(.
I remember when I was in college. I had a room mate that had painful period. Once her mom get a coke bottle and filled with hot water, that means she’s on her period and I can hear her crying. She was not the only one I know of having unbearable monthly periods. Lots of women suffer from this discomfort. Can it be Dysmenorrhea?
Dysmenorrhea (or dysmenorrhoea) is a gynecological medical condition of pain during menstruation that interferes with daily activities, as defined by ACOG and others. Still, dysmenorrhea is often defined simply as menstrual pain, or at least menstrual pain that is excessive. This article uses the dysmenorrhea definition of menstrual pain that interferes with daily activities, and uses the term menstrual pain as any pain during menstruation whether it is normal or abnormal.
Menstrual pain is often used synonymously with menstrual cramps, but the latter may also refer to menstrual uterine contractions, which are generally of higher strength, duration and frequency than in the rest of the menstrual cycle.
Dysmenorrhea can feature different kinds of pain, including sharp, throbbing, dull, nauseating, burning, or shooting pain. Dysmenorrhea may precede menstruation by several days or may accompany it, and it usually subsides as menstruation tapers off. Dysmenorrhea may coexist with excessively heavy blood loss, known as menorrhagia.

I know that I am luckier than others who really can’t function during this time of month, but now that I am feeling lazy, having cramps, all I want is to lay down and not do anything but blog:) or do Facebook too.
Have fun everyone and take care. I will get some rest now and see if I will feel better later.
Have you heard of lap band procedure? I have, because my mother in-law had it in 2004 and it worked for her. We all know that obesity rate is now getting high not only here in the United States but also in another countries. Why? Probably due to unbalanced diet and unhealthy lifestyle. Gaining weight can lead to a lot of negative medical issues, such as diabetes, stoke and heart attack. I do know how it feels to be heavy and how frustrating to try to dress up but none of your clothes in the closet fits you anymore. It’s so sad to look at your old jeans and now, all you can do is look at them since they won’t even go up to your thighs. That’s how I feel right now, and I need to wake up before I end up being 200 lbs. If you watch some reality shows on TV, there are people out there who really are heavyset and they had been having problems. Some cannot walk anymore and some decided to do something about it and joined some weight loss program. But what about the others who had done everything, but cannot lose enough pounds using the old fashion way to get healthy and fit, they opted to have a lap band procedure and if you read testimonies of people who had done this procedure, they surely were happy they did.
If you or someone you know have difficulty losing weight and needed to lose at least 30 lbs. you can call 1-800-GET-THIN and you can schedule an appointment to meet with one of their staff, you can discuss which would be the best option for you. This is a very safe procedure and with a proper self discipline and strong determination, you will be able to reach your goal of losing weight, be healthy and fit. Don’t procrastinate, this could be the beginning of your life changing goal. This summer, wear the 2-pc bathing suit that you had been hiding in your closet, and show off that new body of yours.

Who would think that on this day and age, you can talk to many different people at the same time even if they are in different countries? Modern and high technology is the key. People now useteleconferencing to be able to do business with people across the globe. Others can also see who they’re talking too with the use of webcams and some other high tech gadgets. It’s a very intelligent way of communication. I remember when I had to write to my aunt and wait for a month before I can get her reply. Now, I talk to my sister everyday, who lives in the Philippines, and I can see my nieces and nephews using a web cam. I can do a chat conference with my other cousins. This is our new world.
Don’t you sometimes feel like you’re sad but you don’t know why? Then you go to the doctor and they will say you have depression. You will be prescribed some anti depressant, but it just won’t go away. You feel tired, feeling blue all the time and you just don’t feel like going out and be with your friends like you used to do.
I have heard of a story like that. My friend who lives in Illinois said to me that she was feeling blue and she doesn’t know why. There shouldn’t be any reason for her to feel sad. She has good job, a great marriage and great kids. For some reason she lost interest going out with them, she didn’t have the interest to be intimate with her spouse and she stopped laughing. She’s always tired and feel like crying. She then went to a therapist and was diagnosed with depression. She then started seeing her therapist couple of days a week. but the sadness won’t go away even with the help of anti depressant medicine. She also started having another symptoms, tingling in her feet.
She decided to go to her primary care doctor and they did some test on her. Standard test that the doctor always gives to the patient, blood and urine test and so on and so forth. Blood test result came back and it turned out that she had a vitamin B12 deficiency. She then was given a vitamin b12 injection and after that, all the symptoms of her depression disappeared.
It’s very important that when you feel something strange on your body, go to your primary doctor. They will do a series of test to find out what’s wrong with you. The early they find out about your illness, the bigger possibility that it can get cured. It’s your body and you are the only one who knows if you are sick or not. And don’t hesitate to ask for second opinion if you think that there is more that you want to know about your sickness. We only live once, let’s make the most out of it.

I decided to Give A Dish to my Sister for her Birthday last year and she is loving it. She just quit work a few years ago to stay home with the kids but now that they’re a little older I know she’s been getting bored at home without them there all day long (they spend a few days a week in daycare.) So anyway, I got her some new channels and she’s been watching all sorts of shows on BRAVO that she can’t stop talking about and also a lot of Style Network. She loves that show about Tia and Tamera Mowry, the Sister Sister twins, and I think it’s cute that she tells me all about it because we’re twins too. I love being part of a twinship and there’s just something special about the way we interact other siblings can’t relate to. One of these days I’m going to have twins, that’s what we keep joking about, just you wait and see! I’ll have it then!
